World War One: Weapons of War

The First World War was the first industrial war. It was the industrial weapons that made it so deadly. 


Industry had been used to create new products to improve people's lives. But now, it was being used to create new tools to destroy lives. 


Task: 


Choose one weapon to investigate. Create a poster for others to learn about this weapon. Important information includes. 




Each poster should contain at least one appropriate image of the weapon, or a diagram. 

• Name of the weapon
• how it works--very basic explanation
• who invented it?
• How did it affect the war? was it successful?
